Publicizing Your Event

If you want people to come to your event, you have to let them know about it. There are many ways to get the word out about your event. |

Posting fliers on campus – This is a popular method of advertising, but there are some policies of which you need to be aware. In academic areas, posting should be placed in designated areas only. You may send an e-mail to the list serve by e-mailing details about your event to cdb120@psu.edu. E-mails will be sent once a week on Friday and must be submitted by the previous Wednesday. GUIDELINES FOR USE OF THE STUDENT ACTIVITIES LIST SERVE |

The Beacon- This is the student newspaper. You can list your event for free on the campus activities page or a variety of different size ads that are available for purchase. See the Beacon staff for details.

The more creative you are with publicity the more noticeable it will be. Please discuss any unusual ideas with a Student Activities staff member to ensure all University policies are followed in these efforts. |
